Wanted to post a little something about this track since it's doing so well and into its second week @ #1.
I wrote this one on guitar back in the late 80s on a cold November day, in my place 12 floors up ont the Goldcoast overlooking Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland. I think Tom and I were messing around one afteroon with some other tracks and i played him the song and we ran the recorder hot off the floor. Sometime later, not sure when, Zav found the track, added some bass to it and asked me to do an overdub on the lead vocal and add some parts to it. It kinda just sat around for many many years, forgotten. Then Zav uncovered it when the Love Me Love My Crisis cd was remastered for CD and it was added as a bonus track. It was never really finished and i think the title went thru a bunch of changes. But when I was preparing tracks for Broken Meats, it was suggested i finish the track, and the rest is history so to speak.
I'm quite happy with it overall. It seems to hold up pretty well with time. And it fit right in with other stuff on Broken Meats. Thanks for the questions about the song and hope that satisified the curiosity.
